New Projects-PLEASE READ

Hello Technology Department:

We have a list of new projects to complete for the rest of Feb and March. I have organized these priorities from most important to least important. I have also assigned different members to do different tasks. There are some members who are assigned various tasks.

Each Director will be assigned an "oversight postion", this way, its not me running around trying to do everything :-)

1. Commencement Challenge Application Completion

Overseer: M. Alexander

This application is to see if President Obama can speak at our graduation. Team members have been assigned to each question.

Question 1: Gabby, T, Angie
Question 2: Elin, Brendon, T.T
Question 3: Stephen, Bryan, Shanice
Question 4: Jose Flores, Jose Sanchez, Rafael

All members who are assigned to these questions have to give me their "main ideas" by Thursday Feb. 25, 2010. Remember, the deadline to submit the application is March 15, 2010

2. Samsung's Hope for Education Technology Program-Grant Proposal

Oversser:Sean-Luc Prince

Students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community members can enter the contest by going to the program's Web site and submitting a 100-word essay about their school, answering the question: "How has technology educated you on helping the environment, and how or why has it changed your behavior to be more environmentally friendly?" Essay entries may be written in either Spanish or English.

Look on this website for more information. http://foundationcenter.org/pnd/rfp/rfp_item.jhtml?id=214200020

Before you submit your essay, please let your "overseer" read your essay first. He will in turn let me read it as well. Please do not submit anything without having me read your essay.

3. Technology Department Closing Ceremony Planning

Overseer: M. Alexander, Carl Hill

This project involves the planning of the TD closing ceremony. You guys have helped out all year, and I want to make sure you guys are appreciated for your hard work.

4. Bulettin Board Design, Draft and Construction

Overseer: Dominick Monti

I have not decided on a bulettin board theme as of yet. This will be your job. Here are some of the things you have to consider
I: What theme will you choose for the TD
II: What colors or supplies will be needed (pictures, documents, paper)
III: How much time will you need to construct this board?

This project will have only five members (including the overseer)
Kristina Dubyk
Julio Carillo
Lennin Badia
Margarita, Sevilla

That should be all the projects that the TD should have for the next month or so. If you see someones name on here, please e-mail the information to them so that way they can be well informed.

Remember, the more you do now-the better it is for you in the closing ceremony ;-)

Talk to all of you soon!

Next week is gonna be a busy week mi dudes!
I start my Spring semester next week, and there is still A LOT to be done--moreso becuase quality review is Feb 8th and 9th, so all I wanna do is be chilling by that time!!

Here is a preview of what has to be done:

Monday-January 25, 2010

Laptop Carts A and B

make sure to install drivers for the black n white printer onto their computer BEFORE you hook up anything....

Thursday

We got a lot of stuff to do 2morrow, so I would like all hands on deck. We are doing inventory. The people below are supposed to ask me for a certain paper. I will give you this paper and it will tell you what you have to complete on it.

I will also need a typist for 2morrow, so all this stuff can be entered.

Bryan: Fill out information for "Critical Office Spaces" sheet

Mr. Alexander: Run around and mark down all "New Supplies Used" and "Print Switch List"

Carl: Fill out "Library Systems Sheet"

Various TA's:
1.Typing all inventory down
2. Updating numbers on computers in Laptop Cart C
3. Consolidating power cords for Laptops

There is probably more stuff missing that I totally forgot, being that I am insanely tired right now, so if I missed anything, please let me know tomorrow.

Enjoy your evening!
Mr. Alexander

For Monday

Hey guys:

This Monday, I have a very important meeting with the principal. However, this does not mean that work does not need to be done ;-)

Our main task tomorrow will be completing the inventory of Laptop carts B and A. This includes writing down the Serial Numbers and Asset ID's.

We are also re-numbering the numbers that are posted in the cart, and re-numbering the laptops that are in the carts also.

This should be an all day thing--I only want about 3 or 4 people working on this. Any of you who are not working on inventory, I would like you to plan out our next bulletin board idea (in writing-so you can do a diagram and stuff like that), and I also would like some ideas as to where to put the 4 new computers that should be arriving this week.

Even though there is not a lot to be done tomorrow, it will be time consuming, so I need all of your corporation in these endeavors--the quicker this goes, the more we can relax!

Hope to see you guys 2morrow!

Mr. Alexander

Hey guys, I just wanted to put a few ideas out there and get some feedback. Alright, first off, I've got something for the school website. I wanna make it into a bit of a forum so that students can talk to each other as well. You know, about what the school's like, academics, and even the social life. I'm also thinking of having about 3 or four different sections. One for students to interact freely, one for students to talk to teachers and administrators, one for teachers to talk amongst themselvs, and since it'll be the schools official website, one that's open for the public so that prospective students can get a feel for what the school's like.

So tell me what you think.
